How do I prepare my belongings for storage?
Helpful tips for storing your items

Label your boxes and leave an aisle with box labels facing out.

Pack heaviest items on the bottom and don't stack boxes so high that your stack becomes unstable and dangerous.

Pack items prone to accumulate moisture, such as books and photographs, in air tight plastic containers or wrap them in plastic.

Use pallets to keep furniture and boxes from direct contact with the floor.

Cover your furniture and valuable items with plastic wrap.

Clean your barbecue grill before storing it and remove your LP bottle. The smell of food tends to attract unwanted pests into your unit. No, we are not talking about your mother-in-law.

Don't store flammables, especially fuels and solvents. Even if they don't start a fire, the odor of gas fumes will ruin your furniture.

Make sure your homeowner's insurance adequately covers your belongings while they are in storage.

Always remember to lock your unit.

Helpful tips for storing vehicles

Make sure your vehicles, boats, RV's and machinery are free of any & all fluid leaks before storing.

Make sure your tires are inflated to the manufacturer's maximum specifications and free of leaks before you store your vehicle.  A slow leak in the fall will be a flat tire in the spring.

Winterize your vehicles and boats before storing them. Our units are not heated and cracked engine blocks and radiators are expensive to repair.

Cover your RV's couch and chair cushions with old towels, blankets or sheets and close the drapes in order to prevent sun fade.

Remove all cats, children and Lindberger cheese from RV's before storing.

Disconnect battery cables once the vehicle you are storing is parked.

Make sure that you keep physical damage coverage on your RV while it is in storage and make sure you put liability coverage back on your RV before you take it out of storage.

Make sure your RV is locked and if it is a trailer, make sure you place a lock on the hitch.
